Changing the game: At home insemination with kegg

Timing insemination with kegg

One of the most crucial aspects of insemination is ensuring the timing is correct. While some users may have multiple attempts at insemination during the fertile window, others may only have one and must know in advance when they will most likely be fertile.

With kegg, users get an advanced fertile window prediction. At the start of the new cycle, the kegg user will see when the fertile window is predicted to occur. After one full cycle of kegg use, the fertile window prediction will be formulated based on your past cycle data. This means that this prediction is not based merely on calendar prediction methods, but instead on your unique past kegg data.

In addition to the fertile window prediction, the kegg user will see in real time their fertile window forming in their kegg chart. As the vaginale environment becomes increasingly more hospitable to sperm and the body prepares to ovulate, the kegg readings descend on the kegg chart.. The kegg user benefits from both knowing the prediction in advance and also being able to see how their kegg data aligns with this prediction.

The Process

When preparing to inseminate, the kegg user typically will plan for their insemination during the fertile window prediction. Since this prediction is made in advance, the kegg user can communicate when they will most likely need the collection (if applicable). Next, they consistently take their readings during the same 2-hour window daily, watching for the beginning of this downward descent. The kegg user ideally has used kegg for at least two cycles to learn to recognize their unique fertility trends.

The fertile window extends for about 5 days. While the egg can only survive for 24 hours, the nourishing environment that the cervical fluid provides during the fertile window can sustain and support sperm for up to five days. As a result, there is some flexibility as to when a user can time insemination.

To be confident the kegg user is in the fertile window, the kegg user should watch their readings form along their kegg chart. As the readings begin to descend in or near the fertile window prediction, the user can recognize they are entering the fertile window and the vaginal environment is becoming hospitable to sperm. If you are limited on the number of inseminations during a cycle, we recommend timing your efforts during the low readings in the valley. The days leading up to ovulation typically have the highest probability of pregnancy. For this reason, limiting your insemination to after a positive LH can reduce the opportunity for timing efforts during some of the most fertile days. Waiting for an LH surge also gives very limited advanced notice that a semen collection is needed. Keep in mind that targeting ovulation day for insemination is not crucial or even considered ideal!

How do I know my fertile window is ending?

When progesterone begins to rise around the time of ovulation, there is typically a rise in kegg data. As progesterone becomes the dominant hormone during this phase of the cycle, this causes a shift in the electrolytes in the cervical fluid resulting in data points moving upwards on the kegg chart. Since the egg can only survive for 24 hours once released, the kegg user can predict their fertile window is ending after 1 to 2 upward data points on their kegg chart.

Once you have decided to embark on your fertility journey, the unknowns can be stressful but with kegg you can feel confident that you are timing your baby-making efforts ideally. Let kegg help you reach your baby making goals! With kegg’s pregnancy guarantee, you can rest assured that if you do not conceive during 12 months using kegg, you can receive a full refund.
